SYNOPSIS

In the United States, university campuses have become the scene of an ideological war between students that is fracturing American society. Faced with the militant intolerance of American academics, America is watching in awe as Generation Z seeks to erase the world of its elders, and whose vote will weigh heavily in the choice of the next President of the United States.

Israeli-Palestinian conflict, abortion, LGBT rights, between wokism and conservatism, two camps are clashing among students. How do you explain such a split in the universities? Wokist ideology, obsessed with the injustices suffered by ethnic minorities. Making shortcuts between First Amendment freedom of expression, the Middle East conflict and Black Lives Matter. Casting the Jew as the white oppressor on a par with early settlers or American slaveholders. A rhetoric that is rampant on Tik Tok, relayed by influencers and that would be found today on the outskirts of campuses.

Some are already great champions. Others are just starting out. Everyone trains to give their best, surrounded by mentors, friends and family. Because pizza is their life!

This documentary series shows the challenges, hopes and dreams of six French competitors. These artisans, driven by an all-consuming passion for their work, share a common goal: to win the supreme title in the art of pizza-making. The competition takes place in an electric atmosphere, with around 500 pizza makers from the four corners of the globe rivalling with each other in skill and creativity. The series highlights the competition’s different categories : Neapolitan, for traditional purists, classic, where innovation and original flavors take center stage; and Freestyle, a particularly spectacular category where participants impress with their acrobatics and dexterity.

And perhaps we’ll be able to determine whether it’s superficial or revolutionary. A feminist approach or the new clothes of self-objectification ? Liberating or alienating ?

In the 1990s, an American student decided on a whim to film her daily life and put it online, thus becoming the first camgirl in history. At the height of her popularity, JenniCam’s site attracted up to 100 million visitors a week, she was interviewed on national TV and crystallized the fears and debates sparked by the arrival of the Web in our daily lives: some saw in it the advent of a narcissistic culture obsessed with spectacle, others the emergence of a new way of talking about oneself and creating links with strangers. In 2003, JenniCam closed her site for good. Since then, she has deserted the Internet. Yet since her retirement, her descendants have conquered the world : girls who film their lives and interact with strangers rule the Web and social media, from vloggers and youtubers to tiktokers of all ages.
