The Russian military archives in Moscow are a secret place closed to the public Even historians are only granted access  in exceptional circumstances. They contain major historical documents relating to World War II, notably those found by  the Red Army in Adolf Hitler’s bunker in Berlin in early May 1945. These are items that the Führer had insisted on keeping  carefully until the end and which shed new light on the Nazi regime.
