SYNOPSIS:

Raï was born in Oran, Algeria. It arrived in France in the mid- 80s. At the time, young North Africans were being turned away from Parisian nightclubs, and Algeria was going through its dark decade. But at the same time, Raï was enjoying its moment of glory : Top 50, 1,2,3 soleil at Bercy, Super Bowl… and then came the September 11th attacks… Is Raï dead ?
