« Without them, I wouldn’t be able to do anything on the ground. They are the people in the shadows of my documentaries. We call them ‘fixers’. Thanks to them, I’ve been able to get into places that are reputedly inaccessible. Working with me, they often take enormous risks. They stay where they are whereas I get to leave.
