« As a child, I was told about Gisèle, an incredible lawyer who defended Algerians during the war. As I grew up and moved to France, I discovered her feminist struggle. I wanted to explore the intimate Gisèle, the one we don’t talk about. By meeting people who knew her and young people inspired by her, I wanted to tell the story of her humanity.»
