The 9/11 attacks were allegedly prepared by American secret services, and Marshal Pétain is claimed to have protected French Jews during World War II. These historical rewritings might seem far-fetched, but they generate significant violence, particularly in extreme right-wing circles. Each historical untruth often serves a political or economic agenda, feeding on public doubts. This film traces and analyzes 20 years of rising historical conspiracy since 9/11. How has mistrust of politicians, the media, and educators become so widespread? By challenging centuries of shared history, isn’t this rewriting of history jeopardizing our common foundation of truth, the cornerstone of our democracy?
