According to one study, by 2023, 1 in 4 French people will be climate sceptics or deniers. Whether conspiracy theorists, scientists or lobbyists, doubt merchants are working all over the world to divert attention. Denialists spread a multitude of preconceived ideas about the climate. How have they managed, by dint of manipulation, to take public opinion by storm and undermine the credibility of scientists, thereby threatening to save the planet?
